Cosy eco home, leaving a smaller footprint on your holiday. Plant based kitchen. Log fire. Private garden with seating both open and covered. Snuggle into the large bespoke sumptuous bed, handmade with eco bamboo mattress and quality natural bedding. Pillow menu is available too. The house is cleaned using Bcorp eco vegan materials and bedding is washed in either wilton or ineous laundry products. The area is quiet with lots of traditional crofts surrounding the cottage. In the spring and summer the lambs are in the fields next to cottage. Bird, bat watching and star gazing can be done from the tranquil garden. If you are lucky you are in a good spot for the aurora borealis. This is a much loved family croft cottage, which has traditional v lined wooden walls, exposed in the livingroom, where you can read, play board games or listen to music whilst you enjoy your favourite drink in front of a log fire, on a large comfy couch

WE both love this Island, and have good local knowledge with recommendations if you need them. We hope you enjoy the traditional and modern mix, of the croft cottage, with great views and welcoming garden. There are herbs to pick in the garden, and we have started a wee orchard as well, so that our guests can pick fresh fruit.

The cottage is a ten min drive north west of portree, there is plenty of private parking at the cottage,and a bus route 2min walk away. It is centrally located for all of the islands beautiful sites. There are hill and mountain views of Fingals seat, Ben Tianavaig and the Cuillins with the pretty sea loch of Loch Snizort can be viewed throughout the day from the garden. The road outside can be walked along for a pleasant stroll, all the way to Aird Bernisdale point. Look out for sea eagles, and listen for the shy and elusive corn crake. At night the clear skies allow for stargazing, bat spotting and fabulous aurora borealis.
