Built in the1830s, Waters Edge Cottage provides pet friendly accommodation in an idyllic location, only a few yards from the western shore of the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond. The Cottage offers room-only accommodation in The Cottage Suite and The Garden Room. Both rooms are individually decorated to a high standard, one featuring a covered outdoor terrace and the other a small sitting snug, both overlooking the loch. From the outside, it retains its timeless character, while inside, the fresh décor and tidy surroundings offer a welcoming blend of traditional comfort and modern style – the perfect retreat on the banks of this famous Scottish loch.

Fiona (a local lass) from the town of Dumbarton and Andy (a retired Lieutenant Colonel) and a keen swimmer are now enjoying living life on Loch Lomond with their two labradoodles Benji & Barney.

Waters Edge is situated only a few minutes walk from the Duck Bay Hotel and The Cruin. A 40 mins walk or 5 mins drive will take you into Balloch where there are various restaurants, pubs, and cafes as well as Balloch Castle Country Park. Walk the waterfront at Loch Lomond Shores and check out shops, cafés, and restaurants right by the loch. There’s a sea life centre, a bird of prey centre, and plenty of family-friendly stuff to do. You can rent watersports gear or catch a boat trip from the pontoons. Seasonal markets pop up, too, so you might stumble on some local food or crafts. Auchentoshan, Luss and Glengoyne Distilleries are only a short drive away and for hillwalkers and hikers there are plenty of walks in the area including Ben Lomond, Conic Hill and Stoneymollan.
