Stunning location and only two yurts in a field with spectacular views. The owners had thought of everything and it was a comfy stay. We were surprised by the music/noise from a house in the woods on the other side of the valley, as normally it...

Willey Lane Farm is a post medieval farmstead situated i a secluded location in the hills of north Herefordshire btween the village of Lingen and the Welsh border town of Presteigne, the former county town of Radnorshire, in the Welsh Marches. The farm is predominately permanent pasture with a significant area of ancient semi-natural woodland (mainly Sessile Oak), a small area of lavender and a quiet seasonal micro campsite in a corner of an orchard. The very quiet micro campsite features two 16ft diameter Yurts with king sized beds with electric side lights, plenty of storage, wood burner stove, 2 ring gas stove, crockery and internal and external tables and seating. Each yurt has its own private bathroom with shower, flush lavatory and washbasin, and private washing up area. The site has very nice views across the countryside to the east. Visitors can walk across our fields and explore our 22 acre ancient semi-natural woodland. Ancient semi-natural woodland has been continuously woodland since 1600 AD. It is an ideal site to relax away from the hustle and bustle of modern day living. For those who need to keep in touch with the outside world there is a phone charging point in each yurt.
We enjoy meeting people but allow visitors to enjoy themselves in peace.
Presteigne has a a variety of independent shops including antiques, delicatessens, butcher, food shops, etc. As the former county town of Radnorshire it has the Judges Lodgings, where the Quarter Sessions were held. Nearby is Wapley Hill Fort, an iron age fort constructed over 2000 years ago. There is easy access to Ludlow, Hay-on-Wye, The Black and White Village Trail, Elan Valley Dams, Offas Dyke Centre, Spaceguard Centre, etc.
