It's our 4th visit and it is simply beautiful, the rooms are generous in size and spotless. Everything you need is provided. Even a large umbrella,if needed. The toiletries are luxurious. We had an evening meal ,which was first class and modestly priced. The staff are friendly and helpful.,

This room was absolutely fabulous. A four poster bed that was so dreamy so comfortable , a wonderful bathroom and all the added little treats made available to us. The staff were so helpful and friendly. An idyllic building in the centre of Ludlow. Highly recommend!!! The deli in town is where you return the keys - highly recommend the sausage rolls!!!!

What Guests Said About Ludlow:

The lovely old buildings, the Castle, just wandering round.

The lovely old buildings, the Castle, just wandering round. The independent shops are good and great places to eat. Wherever you wander you’ll find an interesting place, antique shops, a great fish restaurant, coffee shop. At weekends there is a market in the square which sells a variety of items, food, candles, clothes pottery, jewellery etc. if you wander past the castle to the Linney you can relax by the water. Ludlow is a very friendly place with a relaxed atmosphere a very good place to unwind.

A beautiful and peaceful ancient market town with good restaurants and convenience shopping. Very picturesque and plenty of good coffee places. Lovely walking in the surrounding countryside. Ludlow castle is nice to look at but there is not much by way of a museum.

Loved the friendliness of the people.

Loved the friendliness of the people. Fantastic places to eat. Can highly recommend Csons for breakfast, the Queens have great food and Pietros Lounge for lovely food and air conditioning! The Castle was very interesting. The Market offered a good variety of stalls. As we visited on one of the hottest weekends of the year it was far too hot to do a lot of walking so missed out on some of the attractions.

I have both visited and stayed at Ludlow many, many times...

I have both visited and stayed at Ludlow many, many times over decades. It has many interesting features and historical interests as well as pleasant tree lined walks and the River Teme running through it. The town has many pubs and restaurants to cater for most budgets and taste. Up to some 5 years ago, the streets also had a wealth of very attractive and useful butchers, green grocers and general supply shops. To Ludlow's detriment, they have mostly all closed and seemingly been replaced with large numbers of charity shops etc.

Ludlow is a lovely place to visit.

Ludlow is a lovely place to visit. Beautiful Tudor buildings, quaint streets, which were great to explore and a castle. An eclectic range of shops, which was so nice to see. A market in the square, selling all sorts, including fresh fruit and vegetables. A cheese and fish stall. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Unfortunately we were only there for a few hours, but we will definitely be back to explore Ludlow.

One of best hotels (although, no reception) we have stayed in. Room 7 was worth every penny. Worth much more than we paid. If we were visiting Strewsbury, we would stay here in Ludlow, overnight. When we arrived, there was a lovely lady outside the entrance. She took us to the Deli around the corner, to receive our key. A nice gentleman from the Deli, took us back to the hotel.

Hotel kitchen was closed so we used The Ludlow Kitchen next door which was very good with plenty of choice. The room was in a block behind the hotel which meant there was minimal noise from traffic. The room was large and nicely decorated. Staff were very friendly. Didn't have time to use the bar but it looked nice.
