The property felt very upscale, especially at winter off season prices. The breakfast was very nice. The bowls that were available to eat cereal or yogurt out of were very fun and quirky and we were able to find them for sale at the nearby home and garden store just across the river as a keepsake from our lovely stay. The pub itself was very cosy feeling and I would suggest planning to have a meal there in addition to the breakfast. The food in general was very rich. I really loved the fact that the property is right on the river and had nice views from our room and the dining room. There were also great woodland walks you could do starting right at the property. Some of the rooms are below the pub right on the river and the others are above.

This is a hotel full of character in a fantastic location. Parking was off site, but only a short walk away. There was plenty of choice at breakfast. I had previously read the book about how the staff cared for the homeless during Covid, so was keen to see the hotel for myself. I would highly recommend staying at the Prince Rupert Hotel.

Great selection of quality produce at breakfast, We didn't have dinner. Blair in the bar is very experienced and professional. Malek the Receptionist was also very helpful in organising a fan for our room, she has a very nice manner.

The place had character and was cosy. Better than staying in a chain hotel. As they don't cook evening meal we asked for suggestions and he was more than helpful and went to one of them and he was right it was perfect.

Lots of very interesting and beautiful architecture.

Lots of very interesting and beautiful architecture. Great shops and restaurants. Not so good around the station area where there seem to be a lot of errant youths. Museum great to visit and don't miss the Quarry and Dingle in the park.

The lovely old buildings, the Castle, just wandering round. The independent shops are good and great places to eat. Wherever you wander you’ll find an interesting place, antique shops, a great fish restaurant, coffee shop. At weekends there is a market in the square which sells a variety of items, food, candles, clothes pottery, jewellery etc. if you wander past the castle to the Linney you can relax by the water. Ludlow is a very friendly place with a relaxed atmosphere a very good place to unwind.

Telford is a collection of small towns.

Telford is a collection of small towns. You need a car to travel to nearby attractions. There is plenty of places nearby to visit and it will not disappoint. The town centre has a good shopping centre. Cinemas and a good selection of bars and restaurants. The Central Park is nice and has regular events. The surrounding area has plenty of attractions to keep you entertained.

Bridgnorth is an attractive town with lots of good places to eat and drink. Both of those are excellent at the flower-bedecked Old Castle Inn - well worth a visit. Check out what's on at the Theatre On The Steps. The Majestic cinema is one of those old independents with a range of up to date films.

We enjoyed the park (especially travelling with a dog). It was clean with so many welcoming and friendly notices. The information about Wilfred Owen was interesting and moving. We loved the heritage railway journey to Weston Wharf where we sampled beer anf fabulous food from the brewery.

Ironbridge seemed quite pretty but smaller than we thought. We visited a couple of national trust places but they were closed and only opened at weekends. Went out in the evening but everywhere had stopped serving food at 8pm!

Bewdley is a quaint little place with places to see and go too. Places like the West Midlands Safari park are not to far away. The wyre forest and it's walks are amazing and not to much travel to get to either. All in all a lovely place to visit. I would recommend the Mughouse for food, or the chip shop close by. Its a little bit congested for car travel, but if yiu like walking thrn it's a great experience.

Beautiful historical town with great character.

Beautiful historical town with great character. Pity commitments to a local event meant there was insufficient time to explore the locality further. Not far from Shropshire Aeroclub for aviation enthusiasts. Equally quite proximate to Hawkstone Follies which are a great location for families especially with its famous Santa Safari in December.

I have everything in a small town- a couple of supermarkets, cafes, pubs and a local garage. But, many places don't open on a Monday and they tend to have short opening hours: say from 10am - to 3 or 4pm.

There's not an awful lot at Cleobury Mortimer but there are other places to visit around the area. It's nice to sit by the church and watch what's going on. Plenty of tractors and farm equipment etc.
