We’re Shaun and Aoife, your hosts, and we have been running Willowbank House since 2021. Willowbank isn’t just somewhere we run, it’s something we’ve built around how we like to look after people. Good food, a warm welcome, and giving you space to properly relax sit at the heart of it. By day, we’re hands-on with the small details that make a stay feel easy. Breakfast is a big part of that, cooked fresh and served with a bit of chat if you’re up for it. Beyond that, we try to offer more than just a place to sleep. Whether that’s helping you plan local activities, pointing you towards the right spots, or offering things on-site like massage, paddleboards, bikes, or a quiet corner of the garden to switch off. We’ve grown Willowbank over time from a simple bed and breakfast into something a bit more diverse, including our two separate lodge accommodations, but the aim has stayed the same: keep it personal, keep it relaxed, and make sure you feel properly looked after.

We’re in a spot that gives you the best of both worlds. It’s peaceful and private here, with views and space to properly switch off, but you’re only a short drive into Enniskillen town for restaurants, pubs, and a bit of life when you want it. The local area is built around Lough Erne, which offers everything from boat trips and paddleboarding to quiet walks along the shoreline. You’ve also got some brilliant nearby landmarks like Devenish Island, steeped in history, and plenty of hidden spots that we’re always happy to point you towards. Just a short drive away is Castlecoole, one of the finest neoclassical houses in Ireland. Set in a beautiful estate, it’s perfect for a wander, a bit of history, or just a peaceful afternoon in impressive surroundings. For something a bit different in the evening, Ardhowen Theatre sits right on the edge of Lough Erne and hosts everything from live music and comedy to theatre and local productions. It’s an easy way to add a bit of culture to your stay without travelling far. Alongside these, you’ve got the wider draw of Lough Erne itself, with boat trips, water activities, and scenic drives all on your doorstep. The beauty of staying at Willowbank is that you can dip in and out of these experiences as you like, before heading back to somewhere quiet, comfortable, and properly yours for the night.
