Hi, my name is Rocky , I have been looking after the 4 properties on the farm for 7 years now and I want to wish you a very warm welcome to Windsor Cottage page. I would not want to live anywhere else as the views and peacefulness are unsurpassed in the Lake District. We are very happy to welcome you to our Andalusian Stud Farm high in the Lake district Mountains . Our family have developed this beautiful setting to take over from farming sheep and be more sustainable . Facilities include an EV charging facility, Tesla 7kw or 3kw all vehicle.(book in advance and extra charge of thirty pounds) We are situated on the side of the Wasdale Valley with absolutely outstanding views of the whole valley from Scafell mountain , Wastwater and all the way to the sea. The views of the mountains from the cottage windows are memorable . The Cottage is in a very quiet rural location well away from any main road and if you are looking for stunning scenery and peace and quiet then this is perfect for you . Please note this is a very peaceful setting . You will have close neighbours and noise must be kept to a bare minimum. No parties , loud TV / music . Please do not book if you cannot conform to the noise restrictions noted above. Windsor Cottage has a short but steep concrete path down to the entrance. It is not suitable for wheelchairs or physically disabled. There is a new kitchen with integrated oven, hob and dishwasher , fridge freezer and all the facilities and equipment for a self catering holiday. You can hike directly from the Cottage. We offer a special experience in a beautiful area with wonderful access to hiking, mountain biking, running, horse riding and peace and quiet. 4G mobile reception is good at the farm but limited in the surrounding area. Full mobile date on wi fi at around 10mbs. We now provide a Tassimo Coffee maker so if you have your favourite blend bring along your pods.

We have 4 properties on this site. If you don't say "Wow" when you arrive and see the view from the cottage then you will be the first ! Quite simply the best view in the area of the mountains, lake and sea. Traditional farm but modern facilities . We love to listen and respond positively ! . A very warm welcome to our bit of heaven here in Wasdale . We enjoy sharing our bit of heaven with you all and are on hand in person or by phone to assist you with anything you may require. We are a Pure Race Spanish Horse Stud here at Windsor Farm, but we also have a few Alpacas from Peru along with some Highland Cattle. We hope to see you here soon ! This is a very beautiful and peaceful setting . Noise must be kept to a minimum. No parties , loud TV or loud music accepted in this cottage. Please do not book if you cannot conform to the noise restrictions noted above. We welcome dogs no other kind of pets allowed , but with strict rules and regulations. All dogs must be pre booked , declaring the breed and age of the dog. We do not allow large dogs or any pure or hybrids of German Shepherd, Doberman, Bulldogs of any kind. No puppies or dogs under 6 months of age. You must agree that dogs will not be allowed at any time on furniture or beds or off a lead. We enforce our rules strictly. Guests arriving without declaring the dog in advance will not be given access. Please do not book if you cannot abide by our rules regarding dogs.

Guests will come here to access the most dramatic areas of the World Heritage Lake District , Wasdale is renowned for having the Highest mountain in England , the deepest Lake in England, the smallest Church in England and was voted the most beautiful view in England. We have some great local inns to eat and drink, just a short 2 minute drive down the valley. the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway is a short drive away and the beaches at Seascale and Drigg have miles of golden sands and are quiet and natural. Horse riding around the area and paddleboard hire can be arranged with adequate notice from total beginners to experienced catered for. Max Group size is 4 and minimum of 1 .
