Spectacularly situated in the beautiful Buttermere valley, Wood House Cottage offers sole use of the cottage for your group. The lake is a one minute walk away, where there is a delightful pebble beach and a breathtaking view. Next door to the cottage we have a guest house with three en suite bedrooms (a double and two twin rooms). Please see the three separate listings on Airbnb for these rooms.
There is always someone present at Wood House to look after guests.
There is a very beautiful walk around Buttermere Lake which takes 1½ - 2 hours. For public transport, the nearest train station is at Penrith. There is a bus service from Penrith to Keswick and from Keswick to Buttermere. There is a village shop in Lorton (10 minute drive) and a supermarket in Cockermouth (20 minute drive).
