Plenty of car parking right outside the hotel. I arrived late but the member of staff was very helpful. I had an early start the next day and the staff gave me a continental breakfast to take with me. My room was a single on the top floor. Comfortable, quiet and everything working in the room. The shower was powerful and plenty of hot water. The TV worked well and was clean. The WiFi was efficient. Good value for money. Thank you.

Huge room with an outside door that opened into a courtyard. It was right in the center of town and was central to everything. They do not offer breakfast but there are plenty of places to pick up something very close. The people in the town were extremely friendly and wanted to talk to you.

An ordinary, friendly northern town, no graffiti or litter, plenty of parking and some wonderful scenic walks along the Derwent. Do not miss a visit to Jennings Brewery, so sadly closed by Carlsberg but now operational again as smaller venture, but brewing great ales and lagers using water from the original well. Sainsburys, Lidl and Aldi in town. A HUGE Sunday roast at The Trout Hotel, followed by drinks on the lawn overlooking the Derwent. If you are visiting the Lakes, give the usual tourist hotspots a miss and spend a day in Cockermouth, we loved the place, and are delighted to see the investment and generation in the area following Covid and the floods of 2009.

We were lucky.

We were lucky. Our host provided details of places to eat during the day and night. There is a lovely art gallery / shop as well as Wordsworth's house which is worth a visit. Ideally located as a base to get to other places such as Keswick. Cockermoutb is good for wandering about as well as little walks along the river. Well worth a visit.

Cockermouth was a delightful town, full of friendly people that want to tell you about their town. Don't miss going into Percy House Gallery and ask to see the photos of the historic flood that hit the area in 2009. Also go to the Ironmonger and explore the "museum" in the back of the store

A lovely Cumbrian town, away from the tourist traps and full of independent shops and coffee shops. The Moon and Sixpence serve an excellent coffee and cake and Rendevous cafe has a great choice of freshly prepared food and drinks. The Tithe Barn Hotel is a great and central place to stay, very well appointed and surprisingly quiet for the location.

The Hotel is in a perfect location. We had a lovely room at the front of hotel with a great balcony. Room a little bit dated but that adds to the charm. Lovely little garden area and great little cozy bar. So clean and comfortable. Staff were all so nice and couldn't do enough for you. Just a walk up the street of an evening and plenty of bars that are friendly and relaxing with live entertainment on. Lovely little Tea Rooms local too. The Turkish Restaurant is the best we've eaten in. Highly recommend it.

The house was very spacious, clean and had all the little essentials we needed. It also has a nice garden. Great location, very quiet street, close by grocery stores and shopping/restaurant area. Not far from Lake District. Absolutely enjoyed it and would definitely stay again. The host was very supportive, responsive and sent all the instructions well in advance.

Great location just off the Main Street close to restaurants, shops and supermarkets. Dedicated free parking space. The apartment had everything you need for 2 night stay. Would recommend and return if we come to the area again. Turkish restaurant was very good and the milkshakes from Yummies were delicious.
