ANEMOSCOPE WINDMILL VILLA: Authentic historic windmill villa with outdoor Jacuzzi and Santorini caldera sunset view. Built around 1700, Anemoscope Windmill is a unique Boutique Villa, on 3 floors, entirely granted for exclusive use, recently and elegantly renovated of about 180 square meters interior areas and decorated with a composition of traditional and modern vintage style. Open all year, with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large living room with lounge, equipped kitchen and dining area, Anemoscope Windmill can comfortably accommodate up to 7 guests. OUTDOOR AREAS At the outdoor areas, guests may experience the Jacuzzi hydromassage tub (available seasonally from April to October), sunbathe, admire the stunning 360° view of the entire island, the Aegean sea, all the villages, among which, from north to south, Oia, Imerovigli, Firostefani, Fira, Pyrgos, Megalochori and Akrotiri and relax enjoying the famous sunset over the Santorini caldera, crater of an ancient volcano, icon of the island and its uniqueness. The other side of the terrace has a dining area with a built-in barbecue, ideal for enjoying moments of gathering and seizing the day at home, sharing moments of joy, relaxation and privacy. INTERIOR AREAS The three split levels property has two entrances. Entering from the main entrance, one features a bureau with an armchair and a mini bar. The upper floor has a bedroom, with a double bed and a TV, surrounded by a circolar window with an amazing 360° view on all Santorini island. The second entrance features the lower floor which offers a cozy living room that could be used as a double bedroom, a bathroom, an additional bedroom with a double bed and an ensuite toilet, a spacious living room with an open plan fully equipped kitchen and a dining area. THE HISTORY Anemoscope Windmill was one of the five unique windmills of Pyrgos: it was built early 1700, operated for more than two centuries.

ANEMOSCOPE WINDMILL VILLA occupies a privileged location at the entrance of the picturesque medieval village of Pyrgos on the island of Santorini. Pyrgos Kallistis, whom everyone simply calls Pyrgos, is located at the central part of Santorini, a hilly medieval village with panoramic views of the whole island, easily accessible in a few minutes from both the port and the airport of Santorini. This hillside village was declared a protected settlement in 1995. Pyrgos is one of the five typical fortified settlements of Santorini. On the hilltop there is the famous “Kasteli”, the ancient ruins of the old Venetian Castle. Pyrgos was the capital of Santorini from the middle 18th century, and the center of education, with the secret school church “Agi Aposotli” and the monastery of Prophet Elias. The picturesque village, the highest in Santorini, is preserving its traditional and local Cycladic architecture with its neo-classical mansions and small white houses, narrow paths leading up the central castle, galleries, vineyards, churches. Its labyrinthine structure was intended to make this place safer and more protected and to confuse enemies who ventured inside and regularly got lost. During Orthodox Easter, the village is filled with torches creating a mystical atmosphere visible from everywhere on the island and directly from the windmill, thanks to its dominant position. Near Pyrgos one can find the famous Monastery of Prophet EIias, located at the highest point on the island. The monastery operates since 1711 AD and carries a long history as well encloses an important museum with ecclesiastical items, Icons and Relics Collection.
