Faithful to the traditional architectural style of Koskinou Village, one of the most well preserved villages in Rhodes, the Antigone Traditional House is a large “Kamarikon”, its name deriving from the Kamara, aka the Stone Arch featured in the middle of the house, supporting the traditional wooden ceiling. The local artistry is uniquely exhibited to the floor: covered with thousands of small pebbles of blue and white, this ancient mosaic has been painstakingly restored to bring its floral patterns back to life. Transcribing old practices to modern comforts, the Kamarikon features a wide open area, with the kitchen, dining and spacious living areas for a group or family to stay together, while a loft area, provides two comfortable bedrooms with one king-size bed, each, securing privacy. A beautifully crafted bathroom with shower complements your summer house. Additionally, and adjacent to the Kamarikon, an extra bedroom with its own bathroom is offered, with direct access to the private yard. The private yard of the Antigone Traditional House features a large dining table for fine bites on the outdoors and a large hot tub, for up to 4 people, for your exclusive use and enjoyment. The Antigone Traditional House is located inside the very heart of Koskinou village, one of the most traditional and picturesque villages of Rhodes, just a few miles drive from the city of Rhodes and all the main attractions and top beaches of the island. Some fine restaurants are within walking distance, as long as basic grocery stores, while a grand variety of restaurants, super markets and stores is within less than ten minutes drive. You will need a car to access the Antigone Traditional House. There is plenty of parking space in the main road, just a mere 80 meters from the house, as it is located in a small dead-end alley full of flowers, traveling you back to Rhodes of old, at the very heart of the traditional village of Koskinou.
