St. Paul’s is a home we return to throughout the year and have gradually restored with a preference for natural materials, quiet spaces and thoughtful details. We love sharing the places we return to ourselves and hope guests experience Andros as locals do: mostly on foot, often by the sea, and never in a hurry.

Hidden among the whitewashed lanes above the harbor, St. Paul’s is a thoughtfully curated Cycladic home in the heart of Batsi, designed for travelers who want to experience the island from the center of village life rather than a resort. It is a home with character, history, and its own pace, inviting you to slow down, settle in, and become part of our village for as long as you can spare. The sea is just a short walk below. Cafés spill into the streets, fishermen return to the harbor, and every evening the village comes alive as neighbors gather for dinner beneath the lights. Inside, the home has been thoughtfully restored with natural materials, vintage furnishings, handmade textiles, and quiet spaces designed to be lived in rather than simply stayed in. Like many traditional Cycladic homes, St. Paul’s remains naturally connected to its surroundings. Open windows, sea breezes, and the famous Meltemi winds are part of daily life here, and despite professional cleaning before every arrival, they can carry dust, leaves, and other traces of the outdoors into the home throughout the day. You may also occasionally encounter harmless insects that are common in traditional village homes across the Greek islands. While our home is professionally prepared for every arrival, these are simply part of everyday island living. Three interconnecting bedrooms provide space to settle in, whether you’re traveling as a couple, with family, or spending an extended season working remotely from the island. The home also features two traditional covered bathrooms located just outside the main living spaces - a hallmark of historic Cycladic architecture that has been thoughtfully preserved. The kitchen invites slow mornings, the terrace is made for long breakfasts and evening wine, and nearly everything worth doing in Batsi begins just beyond the front door.

Batsi is best discovered slowly. Start the morning with coffee at 105E before wandering the village streets. Pick up fresh bread from Fournos Tountas or enjoy Greek yogurt, fruit and honey on the terrace before heading to the sea. Spend the afternoon swimming at Aneroussa, Stivari or Colona Beach, each with its own character and view of the island. In the evening, everything begins on foot. Walk the harbour from one end of the village to the other, stopping wherever looks inviting. Wander hidden staircases between whitewashed homes, climb toward the church overlooking the village, or follow the hillside paths that reveal another view around every corner. For dinner, choose between refined island cooking at Oti Kalo or traditional Greek hospitality at Cavo D’Oro. If you have one final hour before leaving Andros, spend it at Aneroussa. Swim in the sea, sit quietly with a coffee in the morning or a cocktail as the sun lowers over the water, and let the island take its time saying goodbye.
