The accomodaton is fully equipped,suitable for hubitation even durring the winter. Southern Crete is famous for its mild winters The sun shines most of the days and the weather is warm. The accommodation is built in the middle of our family olive grove. We have prepared it with love and personal work so that you can experience the authentic rhythms of life in the Cretan countryside, without depriving yourself of modern comforts. Although our main profession is related to education, our love for cretan nature "forced" us to involve with our families property.That's why we produce olive oil and honey us our fathers and grand fathers did. Visitors will have the opportunity to taste these local products, whose fame has gone beyond the borders of our province.
The location of the accommodation proves that there are still corners of the Cretan land where you can relax on amazing beaches, visit unique gorges and discover hiking trails of unique natural beauty and all this away from the crowds even in the middle of the summer season. The area is has not lost its original character. You can listen to the pulse of the daily life of the residents, enjoy a wide variety of organized and unorganized beaches that are less than ten minutes from your accommodation, visit the Kapsa Monastery, the second most important monastery in the region or discover the Farangi of Pervolakia which starts next to the monastery.The last one is easily accessible and you can cross it without special equipment. If you still want to stay in the comfort of your home, enjoy from the veranda the unobstructed view of the Libyan sea or the vertical rocks that stand up to the north with their characteristic caves.
The beaches follow one another along the coastline. To reach them you will need from two to ten minutes by car. We mention the following as examples: - Goudoura central beach (Unorganized) -Botsalaki (Disorganized) -Tou Thodoris Limanaki (Unorganized) -Rod (Unorganized) -Scissors (Unorganized) -Ᾱmmoudi (Organized. It has a beach bar that organizes evening happenings) -Stausa (Disorganized) -Livari (Unorganized) Apart from the beaches and at a distance of 3km from the settlement, there is Agios Ioannis Kapsas. It is the 2nd most important monastery in the province of Sitia. It is celebrated on August 29, a day on which a large number of people flock. You can admire the relic of Saint Joseph Gerontogiannis as well as the cave where he practiced, the amazing pebbled courtyard of the monastery and its unobstructed view of the Libyan Sea. Right next to the monastery, begins the Pervolakia gorge, well known to the locals. It ends in the village of the same name, it is easily accessible and no special equipment is required to cross it. It is an alternative family activity.
