Filigrana Villa in Lindos is an elegant 3-bedroom residence situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Lindos only 150 metres from the ancient amphitheatre and San Stephanos Square and 500 metres from St Paul's Bay. With a sublime view to the Acropolis, artistic decoration and traditional mosaic cobbled floors (chochlaki) both at the spacious living and dinning rooms and at its cozy inner courtyard, the Villa has an amazing relaxing atmosphere. On the ground floor, there are two large bedrooms with furnishing inspired by the Eastern Mediterranean, a very well lighted bathroom (perfect for make-up creations) with a luxurious bathtub and a living and dinning room combo evoking the Roman Villas and the ideas of recreation and retreat. On the first floor, there is a very well equiped kitchen, a modern bathroom with a shower enclosure and a bedroom associated with nature and the four elements. The highlight of the accommodation is the lovely terrace adorned by olive trees and laurels. Its Acropolis view is breathtaking especially at night! Housekeeping at Filigrana Villa takes place every three days. Fresh towels and bedsheets are also provided every three days or earlier upon request.

Filigrana Villa got its name from the jewellery-making technique of filigran in which twisting thin metal threads become interlaced thus creating lace-like ornamental motifs. But why did I choose this name? My family used to have many jewellers members who employed this technique on their jewellery and soon became characteristic of the island artistic creation. Moreover, because of my studies on History of Art at the University of Edinburgh and my love for my place of origin. I was born and raised in Rhodes and thus I decided to bring to this Villa all the features that make this relatively small island of the Med, so unique, and that is its legacy, its art, its ambience. Every room has a unique personality, but as a whole the Villa stands out as a complete unity of grace and delight. I will be very happy to welcome my guests to Filigrana Villa and provide them with any information they need with the knowledge of a local historian. Imagine a breezy summer evening and a person in linen walking around a neighbourhood with white houses built of local stones. Imagine their easy-going pace and their gaze exploring the scenery which contains a mighty fortified Acropolis with an ancient temple on top of it and the little waves of the sea. Imagine the blue highlights of sea water and the golden rays of the sun. If Filigrana Villa was a person, it would be a relaxed human in linen looking at the Lindian scenery. The Filigrana Villa is very conveniently located, close to parking lots of the village, only 500 metres away from the most beautiful beach of Lindos, St Paul Bay and only 200 metres from two mini markets and a pharmacy. There are many cafes and restaurants near by, but the two roads at which the house looks are quite peaceful and you can listen to locals using the lindian dialect. The day you will decide to visit the archaeological site of the Acropolis, you will just need 10 minutes walking to reach it.
