Hi there, I am Nikolas, I live in Thessaloniki with my wife and young son. My origin is from Crete, where I am spending summer holidays for the last many years. During these holidays, I gained so beautiful experiences, met wonderful people and visited exquisite beaches and mountains. This affordable paradise called ISALO Villa, has been a gift to myself, but also a gift to share with guests. I hope you have a great stay and that you will return many times, like I did...
Kalo Nero is a calm and traditional small village with genuinely traditional taverns right next to the apartment, ready to welcome you. Makrigialos town is situated only 8 kilometers away, for your shopping and entertainment. The apartment is placed between the two towns of Sitia and Ierapetra which are both around 35 kilometers away, very touristic and elegant. TAVERNS Some of our favorite restaurants are: Elia tavern in Makrigialos village, Kaliotzina, Robinson and Stravodoxari tavern in Koutsouras village and Seretis tavern in Goudouras village. MONUMENTS When we spend time in Crete, we always visit the village of Chandras, where you will find the byzantine monument of palace Voila and the Etia village venetian monument, 30 minutes driving from Isalo villa. The Kapsa monastery is also an interesting religious christian orthodox monument and it's only 2 kilometers from Isalo villa. TOWNS Sitia and Agios Nikolaos towns are the most beautiful ones in Lasithi perfecture, I think they worth a visit. You can visit Agios Nikolaos on your arrival or departure from Crete if you arrive by boat or plane from Heraklion port or airport. Every morning you can walk by the sea in Kalo Nero village, there is a small path which leads to the sea shore. You will find the path next to Staousa tavern (the second tavern of the village which is closed) on the road. BEACHES Regarding the beaches, around Kalo Nero you will find the most beautiful ones in Crete, among them it's Staousa, Ammoudi, Asprolithos in Goudouras village, Agia Fotia beach on your way to Ierapetra and Xirokampos beach which is 1 hour drive from Isalo villa driving to the east.
