Joleni Cottage is a green hideaway in the village of Keramies. During a renovation, the 100sqm one-level house was converted to allow wheelchair access. The house has 2 bedrooms, a large bathroom, an additional WC and an open plan kitchen & living room surrounded by a big garden. It is an ideal retreat for guests who are looking for a peaceful and private place only minutes away from several lovely beaches. The house is located 200m from the street at an unpaved side road in the lush region of Keramies & Spartia. The 2 terraces, as well as a sitting area under a big oak tree, give you lots of choices where to relax outdoors. The cottage sleeps 4-5 persons (including children), a sofabed for the 5th person being in the living room or a folding bed in the twin bedroom. There is an open plan, fully equipped kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with an ornamental fireplace. From here patio doors open to the covered terrace with table and chairs. The large bathroom offers plenty of daylight and has a floor-level shower. Also, a washing machine is provided in the bathroom. The ground floor level cottage is step-free throughout the house. In the region around Joleni Cottage you can make beautiful walks and hikes through nature and the villages. A minimarket with a basic stock and a traditional tavern are within walking distance (10 min) in Keramies village. The neighbouring villages Spartia, Metaxata and Pessada are only a 2-minute drive away or 15-20 minutes by foot. In Spartia you can find further minimarkets and restaurants. The nearest sights to visit are the ruins of St.George Castle (Kastro), the monastery of St.Andrews with its small museum and the Mycenean Mazarakata tombs. They all are just a 5-minute drive away. The nearest beaches are in Spartia, in Karavados and Trapezaki. Furthermore, there are several beaches in Svoronata and in Minies. All of these beaches are 10-15 minutes away by car.
