Together with my family, I have created Kalithea as a place where visitors can experience the island in a relaxed and personal way – far away from mass tourism and close to nature, local culture, and genuine Cretan hospitality. As a host, I enjoy helping guests discover hidden beaches, traditional tavernas, scenic walks, and special places that are often missed by guidebooks. I live nearby and am always happy to assist with recommendations, local tips, or anything that helps make your stay more comfortable. There are a total of 2 spacious studios with a kitchen and our "Kalithea nest" as a separate sleeping area with a private bathroom for a maximum of 2 people on the large property overgrown with olive trees. Due to the exposed, elevated location, it is usually a bit windy even in midsummer. The studio can accommodate up to 3people (double bed 160cm and single sofa bed)and and has everything you need for an unforgettable holiday. It’s possible to put an extra bed. A counter separates the fully equipped kitchen from the living/sleeping area and also offers a dining area. Kalithea Studios offers also a small flat-screen TV, WiFi, a spacious bathroom, towels, bedsheets, beachtowels, hairdryer, private entrance and parking on the property. In addition to the large terrace, which is intended for your private use, there is a shared space with sun loungers, a hammock and a barbecue, from where you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets. Pets are welcome as long as they respect the furniture and the other customers enjoying their holidays. For the best time of the year we welcome our guests with a bottle of homemade olive oil and raki.

In a few minutes drive or a walk you can reach the center of Palekastro with its numerous taverns and small shops. Kalithea Studios are the ideal base to explore the beautiful North East of the island. Whether you are looking for peace and quiet, beach lovers, windsurfers (surf rental and lessons at Kouremenosbeach), cyclists (bike rental in town), hikers or those interested in culture... everyone gets their money's worth here! In a very short time you can reach numerous, partly lonely beaches but also the lively surfing beach of Kouremenos, the famous palm beach of Vai and Itanos, where you can enjoy crystal clear water and a wide sandy beach with a view of the Minoan archaeological sites. Numerous hiking trails invite you to explore the breathtaking nature. Climb the Petsofas, hike the Gorge of the Dead or the Ritschis Gorge with its spectacular waterfall. Visit the Toplou Monastery and marvel at the icons exhibited here! Drive through seemingly endless olive groves and explore the traditional villages on the way to Zakros, where you can listen to the murmur of the fresh water spring in the shade of ancient trees. Enjoy the flair of Sitia's beach promenade with its fishing port or stroll through the numerous shops in the lively small town, which you can reach in about 20 minutes.
