Clinging to the hillside above the stunning Kaminia Beach and offering unbeatable panoramic sea views, Kaminia Cottage is a charming retreat ideal for couple’s getaway. The beautiful expanse of sandy beach at Kaminia (also known as Turtle Beach) is just a few minutes’ drive away, and offers a couple of tavernas and cafés, whilst a bit further away in nearby Katelios and Skala you are spoiled for choice. Please note that there is a 65-step pathway to reach the cottage from the parking area, so this villa is not suitable for those with restricted mobility. Once you reach the cottage you’ll reach total paradise, with peaceful wooded hillside surroundings and breathtaking views. Designed in a modern style, the cottage benefits from plenty of natural light thanks to its large glass patio doors, and consists of an open-plan kitchen, living area, an air-conditioned bedroom, and a BBQ terrace with private pool – the perfect spot for unwinding and soaking up the views. Please note this is a no-smoking villa and pets are not allowed.

At the very southernmost tip of Kefalonia island, a popular beach resort has grown up around the charming village of Skala. The main attraction of this area was the endless expanse of stunning sand beach, but the village centre – now offering a varied choice of tavernas, mini markets, shops and cafes has grown with the addition of some rather chic restaurants and bars along the beach front and several “boutique” hotels. A walk up into the hills behind Skala brings you back to another era as you explore the ruins of the old village destroyed in the earthquake in the last century. Skala has become probably the most “sought after” holiday resort on Kefalonia in recent years – and it’s easy to see why.
