Lemon Trees House is located in Kalavarada, a small traditional village of around 500 inhabitants, next to the coastline. It is 15 km from Rhodes International Airport, 30 km from the city of Rhodes, and only 700 metres from the beach. It is an independent ground-floor apartment consisting of two separate double bedrooms, a spacious living and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom, a hallway, a front-facing veranda, and a larger courtyard with a garden and a second veranda outside the kitchen. The house overlooks the village and the mountains and is bright and comfortable. It can be an excellent choice for a group of friends, a family with children, or a couple looking to relax and enjoy nature.
We are Dimos and kiki, retired primary school teachers. We have two daughters and live in a separate apartment on the first floor. We enjoy swimming and long walks, and we have our own plot of land where we grow organic fruits and vegetables for our personal use –a small treat you’ll be able to enjoy upon your arrival. What matters most to us is making you feel at home, and we are always available to provide you with any information you may need at any time.
Kalavarada is known for its traditional tavernas serving both meat and fish. Along the coastline, there are six seaside tavernas. The house is a 5-minute walk from the village square, which has a mini-market, a taverna, and a café-bistro. Kalavarada is ideal for those who want to combine the fresh air of a morning hike with the sea breeze of a coastal walk. An organized kite-surfing station is just a 10-minute walk from the house. For history lovers, Ancient Kamiros – an acropolis built in the 5th century BC – is only 4 km away. The island of Rhodes is famous for its many traditional festivals known as "panigyria", held in various villages. Here in Kalavarada, we organize our annual festival on July 24th, as well as the garlic Festival, wich takes place on the third Saturday of June, with local flavors, live music and tradition!
