Situated on a vast 200-acre, beachfront property at the Western edge of Mavrovouni Beach, 7 km outside Gythion in Southern Peloponnese, Ktima Petalea is the ideal destination for environmentally-sensitive vacationers wishing to combine the perks of a holiday cottage with the attraction of a beachside vacation, and the allure of a nature recreation retreat. Each of the autonomous well-appointed cottages comfortably sleeps between 2-4, has a small kitchenette (burner, small fridge, sink, kitchenware...), a dining area, desk, bathroom, a/c, wi-fi, furnished terraces, assigned parking space, and yard. The on-site beach cafe mainly serves freshly prepared refreshments and light fare, with an emphasis on locally-sourced vegetarian products. We have a large common area. Guests may grill on the outdoor BBQ, bake in the stone oven, gather fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden and access the beach from their own private pathway. For outdoor recreation lovers -on top of enjoying water sports in the sea and strolling along the 5-km-long beach- guests may walk, run, cycle (complimentary bikes are available) and/ or horseback ride (for a fee) on the 2.5 km on-site track.

Although we strive to meet most of our visitors' needs onsite, we do encourage them to discover and enjoy the surrounding sights and attractions, including strolling along the boardwalk in the nearby, picturesque port town of Gytheio; taking a drive through the stark, rugged beauty of Inner Mani and stopping for a swim or meal at one of the fishing villages along the way; walking through the narrow, cobblestone streets of Areopoli. For those wishing to venture further afield, we suggest day excursions to breathtakingly beautiful Elafonisos and historic Monemvasia
