If you are looking for a peaceful place away from crowds and rush of a modern civilization, be surrounded by serene nature, go for walks or hiking straight from your door, switch off mobile devices, tune in to yourself and the nature, than our house is the perfect choice for you. It is a traditional village house made of stones, which keeps the indoor cool even in hot summer. No air-conditioning needed. At this sea level there are also no mosquitoes, so no mosquitoes net or repellent needed. It is a first house on a left side of the road when you enter Kastro village, so it is very easy to find. No problem with parking in front of the house. There is a new asphalt road from Limenaria to Kastro, so no problem for any car.
We have a small tavern "Kostas" in the Kastro village (next to the church), where we can provide you with basic local meals and famous Greek drinks. The owner speaks many languages and will make sure you are well entertained.
Kastro village is the highest located village on Thassos Island. There are few stone houses of local people from Limenaria, which they use for weekend escapes in the winter. There is a small church occasionally used for weddings and baptisms. Another point of interest is also a bone house at the edge of the village and Apostolis waterfalls few kilometers away. To Limenaria or Metallia Beach it is about 15 minutes drive by new asphalt road.
