In 1985, the Belgian Christina Zenteli and her Greek husband bought this special property on the Greek island of Kos. The special location in the quiet, idyllic village of Lagoudi at the foot of the Dikeos Mountains with the breathtaking view was the reason. Here, the artist opened her impressive gallery in the garden with beautiful landscape motifs, icons & more. The offer was complemented by the jewellery and antique shop as well as a cozy bistro-café. This unique combination was quickly discovered by the most famous travel guides, such as DuMont and Marco Polo. The first guests visited the property and had the desire to stay overnight as well. This is how the first holiday flats were created, which were also furnished with great attention to detail. Today's Orea Ellas ensemble is still considered an insider tip for individual guests.

Our accommodations are located on the picturesque estate "Orea Ellas". Our guests often refer to us affectionately as "the paradise place on Kos Island". We enjoy a central location in the middle of Kos Island near the well-known mountain village of Zia on the edge of the Dikéos Mountains. The "Orea Ellas" is located in the Greek village of Lagoudi, directly below the idyllic village church - an oasis of peace. From here you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view over the north coast of the island to the sea. Our good location is the perfect starting point to explore the island of Kos. However, we offer you not only cozy accommodation, but a unique holiday experience. Because Oréa Ellas is a combination of holiday flats with an attached bistro-café, a gallery and small art, antique and jewellery shop. There is much to discover in every corner. Beautiful terraces on different levels, surrounded by lemon and olive trees and palms invite you to linger. On site, you will be welcomed by hostess & artist Christina Zenteli, who has created this magical place over 35 years.
