Palaiokastro Traditional House is a stone Nisyrian house just next to Palaiokastro, the acropolis of the island. It is situated in a peaceful area that provides amazing panoramic views. The house used to be a farmer building when Nisyrian farmers spend the night during harvest. The house has been renovated with respect to Nisyrian architecture to host visitors with all the modern facilities. It is surrounded by amazing terraces and Nisyrian trees for relaxing and spectacular sea views.
we will meet you at the port or at the meeting point, at the designated time and we will take you to the apartment and will give you our mobile phone number for direct conversation. We provide: 1) Island information and Flyers - maps of the island. 2) Car, motorbike and bike rental. 3) Information about Organized Excursions and Cultural Events . (Hiking, diving, daily sightseeing tours, daily trips to other islands). 4) Airline and ferry itineraries and issue tickets in order to arrive in Nisyros without any inconvenience or delay. 5) Local and public buses schedules. 6) Transfer from the airport of Kos to the ports of Kos and conversely. 7) During your stay, we are available for anything you may need or for any further information. We will give you our mobile phone number for direct call.
The village of Mandraki: The capital, port and largest settlement on the island. Here resides the overwhelming majority of the island’s residents. The houses have two levels and they are built next to each other, with white walls and shutters painted in bold colors. The narrow cobblestoned alleys end in pebbled squares and restaurants,while the coastal road leads to the monastery of Panagia Spiliani, and to the rocky beach of hohlakoi. The unique ancient wall of Nisyros (palaiokastro) and four (4) museums are also located in that settlement. There is a fifteen minute walk to the village of Mandraki throuht a traditional stone-paved path. You can use the main road to get to the village but in tat case you need more time. The house is accessable either the main road or traditional paths. You can also hire a car, you will find private parking outside of the house.
