A car is mandatory to reach the property and to explore the surrounding area. Access to the property is through a steep downhill road, which gives the house a unique setting and sense of privacy, but may require some caution when walking. Guests should note that all supplies and provisions they may need during their stay should be purchased in advance, as shops and services are not available nearby. Please note that there is no direct parking space outside the property. Guests are kindly advised not to drive down the steep slope, as it is an inclined dead-end road. Cars should be parked at the top of the road, and from there it is just a short walk down to the house. Karalides was the old name of the village, today known as Elaiochori. It is a semi-mountainous village at an altitude of about 230 meters, with a stunning view of the Aegean Sea. The village is located about 82 km southeast of Chalkida, 46 km northwest of Karystos, and 11 km north of Styra. It now has a very small population — around 6 permanent residents — while in the past the number reached up to 10. There are no shops, restaurants, or services in the immediate area. Popular beaches and shops are located about 20 minutes away by car, making it easy to combine the quiet of the village with days by the sea.
