Your Host My name is Christina, and I am a Greek-American originally from Chicago. I first discovered the enchanting island of Milos in 2008, when it was still one of Greece’s best-kept secrets. From the moment I arrived, I fell deeply in love with its untouched beauty, timeless traditions, and extraordinary sense of peace. A year later, I was fortunate enough to acquire this charming historic boathouse and began what became a true labour of love. Every stage of its restoration was guided by a profound respect for the island’s architectural heritage and the authentic spirit of the traditional sirma. My vision was never simply to create a place to stay, but to preserve a small piece of Milos’ history while offering guests the opportunity to experience its beauty in comfort and elegance. Paradeiso – An Exclusive Beachfront Boathouse Experience Awaken to the soothing rhythm of the Aegean Sea at Paradeiso, an exceptional beachfront retreat nestled in the enchanting bay of Firopotamos, Milos. This beautifully restored traditional boathouse sits just one meter from the crystal-clear water, offering the rare privilege of living where the sea becomes an extension of your home. Keep in mind - sea can be stormy during summer meltemi winds. True to its name—“Paradeiso,” the Greek word for “Paradise”—this remarkable property is a secluded haven, embraced by the emerald waters and dramatic volcanic landscape that make Firopotamos one of Milos’ most treasured locations. Originally built as a traditional sirma—the iconic fishermen’s boathouses unique to Milos—Paradeiso once belonged to a local fisherman named Adogdos. While he is no longer with us, his beloved boathouse continues to honour the island’s rich maritime heritage, preserving the timeless charm and authentic spirit of a simpler way of life. The space that once sheltered his wooden fishing boat has been meticulously transformed into an elegant boutique studio, where traditional craftsmanship meets modern comfort.
