The initial greeting was warm and friendly, they always went out of their way to be of help which was highly appreciated! The breakfast had a large variety of options that fit each individuals dietary needs, and they even gave us the option of a breakfast bowl to go when we had to leave early for our boat. The customer service was exemplary, I highly recommend a stay at this beautiful place! It was located at a great central location, within walking distance of the port! However, it was quiet at night with great sound instillation and it was beautifully decorated with a jacuzzi to relax in at the end of the night!

The property is in a quiet part of Milos and run by a family. The family are extremely helpful, hospitable and kind offering transfers themselves where possible. When cancelled flights or ferries halted our travels, the family took it upon themselves to make us feel as comfortable and supported as possible and helped us by whatever means they could to ensure we could continue our travels. Loved loved loved this place and its people! 10/10 stay.

FAQs about hotels in Milos

The Island of Lovers

Known as the island of lovers because of the statue of Aphrodite (“Venus of Milo”), which is exhibited in the Louvre Museum of Paris, Milos is very unique thanks to its spectacular rock structures. This romantic destination is a great choice for honeymooners.

Rich in history, Milos was one of the earliest civilisations of the Cyclades islands. Built on a hill overlooking the sea, the picturesque town of Plaka is the island’s capital. Adamas is the main port and offers a selection of tourist facilities and accommodation.

Visit the small fishing village of Pollonia and relax in one of the traditional taverns by the waterfront. Booking.com will help you find a nice hotel, guest house or apartment in the area. Firopotamos is a graphic small village with crystal clear blue waters and little fishermen houses.

Milos has some of the most famous Greek beaches like the sandy beach of Tsigrado and the beautiful organised beach of Agia Kiriaki. The volcanic beach of Sarakiniko is the most photographed one, while the Paleochori is a popular touristic resort with watersports facilities.

A must-do option is having a tour of the island by boat. The island has stunning beaches with turquoise waters and geological forms that are not accessible by car.

An extraordinary stay on Milos island in exceptional accommodation provided by amazing people. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a genuine sense of welcome. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. They provided valuable local insights and were always ready with a friendly smile and helpful advice. The accommodation itself was a perfect blend of traditional Greek charm and modern amenities. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated. The comfortable bed, luxurious linens, and thoughtful touches, such as cold water waiting for us in the fridge and coffee always available, added to the overall experience. One of the highlights was the breathtaking view from the balcony. Overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea and the picturesque landscape of Milos, it was the perfect spot to relax with a morning coffee or unwind after a day of exploration. The sunsets from this vantage point were simply mesmerizing.

The accommodation where we stayed (Liogerma) was just perfect - location; breakfast; staff…all contributed to an amazing part of our holiday. So glad we chose Adamas as our base (first time in Milos). We visited Plaka (wouldn’t stay there, not much happening) and Pollonia (would definitely stay here in the future). We were supposed to be hiring a car (told in Australia that we didn’t need an international driving licence as there’s an agreement with Greece but they wanted one anyway), so ended up using buses - so easy and got us everywhere we wanted to go. Would recommend getting a taxi to Sarafinko at 8am to avoid the crowds (basically had the place to ourselves) then catch first bus out of there (about 10:20am) - starts to get very hot and busy. Overall, Adamas was wonderful!

The town is small but exactly what my partner and I were after! It was a welcome change following the hustle and bustle of previous cities, and did not feel at all cramped or chaotic! Most of the bars and shops were permanently closed as it was out of season we stayed (1st week of April) Evidently most businesses start to open in May. That also goes for the Tavernas in seaside locations. there is a great local restaurant in Tripiti call Glaronisia which serves an extensive range of local Aegean food. They are open 7 days a week and all year round. We ate there everyday!

Mytakas beach is the perfect beach to relax daily. We also visited Sarakiniko beach which was awesome as well as Fyriplaka beach, but it was always nice to come back to Mytakas beach for a quieter experience. We ate in Plaka, Klima, and Pollonia. We loved Astakas in Klima albeit the drive down was difficult on the narrow hilly road. Getting around Milos in general was very easy. We recommed going to Plaka early to find parking and walk around and shop before the dinner crowds arrive.

Milos, in general, is not a very big island so you can get...

Milos, in general, is not a very big island so you can get to a lot of it within 20 min drive. Most of the beaches we found are not organized (no lounge chairs and no umbrellas), which makes for beautiful beaches but not a lot of shade. Which means you need to bring those items with you if you want to relax on the beach when the sun is strong. Provatas is on the southern side of Milos and most beaches on this side of the island are off long dirt/sandy roads and are very popular, so you need to go early to park near the beach and have a car that can handle the steep dirt rocky roads. But again, bring something that can give you shade, we found the tourist maps were wrong with which beaches actually are organized. The beaches and rocks formation on Milos are absolutely gorgeous, you will love it! Personally, we preferred to stay out of the town in places like Provatas, to get away from all the crowds and traffic. Once you are out of the main towns, the crowds and traffic drop off quickly and you have a very quiet, peaceful stay.

Area is very remote, stay here if you like seclusion and peace and quiet. Close to Sarakinikos which is great but I think there are nicer places in Milos to stay. Pollonia is my recommendation. Plaka is nice but extremely hilly, but has taverns, nightlife, restaurants and shopping and more life. Adamantas is limited and very touristy, it is a port afterall and lacks atmosphere and the island feel. Mandrakia is just next to where we stayed which is also really worth seeing and staying, very pretty and great island feel and swimming areas.

I really enjoyed my time spent in Adamantas. Everything on the island of Milos feels pretty accessible, but you could really just stay around Adamantas if you wanted to. We took a day boat trip, and it was great. There are so many amazing and cute resturants right outside of the port, and the food was great!
