Laganas is located on the south side of the island and is the most touristically developed resort of the island. A pleasant 15-minute walk leads the visitor to the sandy beach of Laganas, and offers clear warm waters. Here you will find the National Marine Park, where the Caretta-Caretta sea turtles lay their eggs in the summer. Some water sports and boat trips are available for turtle TRIPS. There are many beach bars, restaurants and taverns on the beach and shops nearby. The capital of Zakynthos is 5 kilometers away and the airport of Zakynthos (Dionysios Solomos) is only 3 kilometers away. 3 minutes by car takes you to the areas of Lagana & Kalamaki.
