Nestled in the south-eastern embrace of Kefalonia, where the Ionian Sea unfurls its shimmering tapestry of turquoise and sapphire hues, lies Skali Retreat. Another kilometer brings you to Valeriano, home to a more extensive supermarket. The vicinity boasts beautiful sandy beaches such as Koroni, Katelios, and Skala—where water sports abound and the coastline reveals smaller, secluded beaches perfect for a quiet escape. The retreat is just a 33 minute-drive from the Airport or the island’s main town, Argostoli. For the adventurous hiker, a path leads to a private beach of white pebbles and emerald waters, a hidden gem right beneath the retreat that awaits exploration. And for a touch of the divine, the retreat houses its own private Greek Orthodox church, dedicated to St. Eugenia, adorned with exquisite murals, which can be opened to visitors upon request.
