Our wonderful little hidden gem has everything you need for a great holiday. The Citrus House is bright modern and spacious. As a second home for us it holds lots of fantastic holiday memories and we would love nothing more than to welcome you to come and make your own special memories. A home from home that has character, charm and everything you need for a great holiday We're perfectly situated next to a citrus grove (hence the name!) where you will find tree's filled with oranges, lemons, pomegranates and not forgetting the the huge fig tree that now overhangs the main track leading to the house, meaning figs for breakfast! We're also proud to now have our very own citrus tree's starting to bare fruits. The house has a private beautifully kept garden with a delightful dip pool, which is just heaven after a day on the beach or having explored the island. Enjoy your morning coffee on the rear balcony watching the sun rise over the mountains and the fishing boats out at sea, then take in your evening glass of wine on the front veranda as the sun sets and the local farmers return from their hard days work in the fields.

We (The Wilson Family) have owned The Citrus House since 2010 and have enjoyed many wonderful family holidays in Rhodes. We love all things Greek from the food to the people, and very much look forward to welcoming you in the near future.

The village of Kalavarda is tranquil, picture postcard pretty and steeped in tradition. You can enjoy wandering through shaded little passage ways and winding paths that lead to quaint Greek houses and then into the main village square. Meeting the locals along the way and wishing them a good day in Greek, I can assure you you will feel like a local in no time! Like all Greek villages and towns the church takes centre stage and sits proudly at the top of the village, the Sunday morning bells and the sight of the locals dressing for church remind you how many traditions are still upheld in these small rural villages. It truly is a wonderful sight and I'd encourage you to take the time to wander through village on a Sunday morning. Within the small village square you will find three tavernas, two of which sell fantastic local Greek meze's and traditional dishes and the third is bar selling drinks and playing the latest music, this is where the local younger generation tend to hang out. For small children there's a play park and you will find the small local shop is an aladins cave, stocking all your key essentials. The closest beach is just a 10 minute walk away.
