This house with its traditional charm is fully equipped to offer its guests a pleasant stay. Made in one piece separated into two spaces by a magnificent stone arch, the living area includes a kitchenette, a kitchen table and two comfortably sized sofas/single beds placed on either side of the fireplace. The 2nd space is mainly furnished with a superb king size wooden bed and a large wardrobe. The bathroom is also made in the same spirit of stone and wood as the whole house. Our guests will have at their disposal the courtyard which runs alongside the house, where it is nice to have breakfast in the morning or sip an aperitif at the end of the day! The little history of the house: built in 1850 and inhabited by Emmanouil Mastropavlos, known as "Tsolias", (member of the National Resistance movement under Turkish occupation), it was at the time a house of refuge for resistance fighters and every corner contains memories of agony , hope and conspiracy for the liberation of the island of Crete. His grandchild, Lefteris , wishing to offer travelers a Cretan habitat, completely renovated the old building while retaining the natural charm, and added the comfort of a modern home.

This lovely traditional house is located in the small hamlet of Agathias, in Palekastro and just 500 meters from the Minoan archaeological site "Roussolakos" and from the beach Hiona, famous for its fish taverns. Tsolias Stone House is right in the heart of the traditional old quarter, with a very hospitable neighbourhood. A children's playground is nearby.
