Property info

This villa is designed around the view — and what a view it is. The living room, dining room and kitchen all sit on the top floor, wrapping around a wide oval balcony that looks out across the full sweep of Lourdas Bay, miles of the Livathos coastline and, on a clear day, all the way to the island of Zakynthos. Every room in the house shares that same uninterrupted outlook over the Ionian Sea. Below, a large mosaic infinity pool takes center stage on the sun terrace — the natural gathering point for eight guests across long summer afternoons. Meals happen upstairs on the balcony as the light changes over the water, or down in the garden by the pool as the evening cools.

Neighborhood info

Lourdata is one of Kefalonia's quieter villages — a handful of excellent tavernas clustered around the church, well-stocked local supermarkets, and a lovely sandy beach 15 minutes' walk away (a little longer on the return, as the lane climbs back up). The nearby coastline is one of the main nesting grounds for loggerhead sea turtles in summer. We genuinely recommend hiring a car — both to make the most of the island and because walking in peak summer heat (36–38°C) can be hard going. The airport is 20–25 minutes away and most hire car companies offer airport collection and return. Larger supermarkets are about 20 minutes' drive.
