This original Cretan mansion was built in 1890 and was renovated during 2000 and 2015. The foundations of this old house, its stone walls (60-80cm thick), its frame and woodwork have remained intact. We have tried to respect and preserve the architectural arrangement of the apartments and all other spaces using old building materials to obtain all the amenities that are necessary for a comfortable accommodation, attractively restored into just 6 exclusive apartments.
Vasilis was working in the medical sector when he understood that he really loves communicating with people and decided to completely change his career! It's been since June 2015 he started operating Villa Archanes (a family owned business) and he is really happy and proud about it! He loves meeting people from all around world and offer the best experience of the village he grew up and loves, Archanes!
A quiet neighborhood with nice and friendly people. A guest walking out from Villa Archanes will face the beautiful garden that Mrs. Maria takes care every day and walking further down may meet the second Maria of the neighborhood, also called "Kali Maria" (=good Mary), the most kind person of Archanes village that will greed you with a smile and try to help you event though she only speaks Greek! Moreover, walking from Villa Archanes towards the main square of the village, you will enjoy a walk through narrow streets with views to Yiouchtas mountain.
