The property is owned by Martakis family. The father Martis and two wons, Marios and Nikos. The villa used to be our country house for the past 20 years. We eventually wanted to spead the pleasure of staying at Villa Marqua to other people so that is why we are renting it out. Martis has created almost everyone at the villa. All furniture, (garden and indoor) jacuzzi, fences, flowers, trees, bbq, outside sitting areas, the sofa bed are made with love and "meraki" from natural woods collected from the mountains, sea and our old farm where our grandfather used to live back in 1930 all from Martis' hands. You will enjoy a small paradise and will have such memorable holidays. This place will not let you leave, indeed.
Reservations and booking are handled by Marios who already works in hotels since 2007. Always ready and stand by to help you plan your holidays and answer your requests in order to make sure you will have a pleasant stay. At the villa you will greeted by Martis whose passion for welcoming guests will be acknowledged from the first second.
The advantage position of Villa Marqua on the northwest coast of Rhodes is at equal distances from the renowned and must-see tourist sights such as the New and Old Town of Rhodes, Kallithea, Faliraki, Lindos and the Valley of the Butterflies. The ancient city of Kamiros, one of the three ancient cities of the island of Rhodes, is just 5 km away. Kamiros is one of the most ancient settlements built by the Dorians on three levels. A systematic excavation of the area together with restoration work began in 1928 by the Italian Archaeological School and continued until the end of the Second World War. A public bus stop is set on the main road about 800 meters away from the property and a ride to the town of Rhodes just takes 30 minutes. For more active visitors, especially families and those wanting to explore the island, it is recommended that they hire a car for easier and faster travelling. The quaint little village of Fanes is located only 2 km away. Following the private initiative of its inhabitants in 2011, the village underwent renovation where by 72 of its houses were painted in multiple bright colors.
