Welcome to Yiayia’s Place, a traditional cycladic home located in the heart of Folegandros Chora. With two separate entrances connecting different alleys of the village, the house offers easy access to cafés, restaurants, local shops, the traditional Kastro area and the famous Panagia church overlooking the island. The house consists of two spacious rooms. The bedroom includes a semi-double bed (2 m × 1.15 m) and a bunk bed suitable for additional guests or children. The living and dining area features a fully equipped kitchen, ideal for simple meals and relaxed evenings at home. The bathroom has been recently renovated and is located just outside the bedroom area, just two steps away. While not internally connected to the bedroom, it remains private and easily accessible. The house combines the authentic atmosphere of a traditional cycladic home with practical modern amenities, including air conditioning, Wi-Fi, washing machine, towels, bed linen and basic toiletries such as shampoo, shower gel, soap. Located in a quiet part of Chora while still being close to everything, Yiayia’s Place is ideal for travelers who want to experience everyday island life in an authentic setting. Although I live far away, I make sure to provide the best possible hospitality thanks to my connections on the island. My family and I love spending our holidays at our grandmother's house, walking through the cobblestone streets of Chora, and enjoying the sunsets. We also enjoy hiking to remote beaches, while in the evening we savor rakomelo in the central squares. I hope you will love Folegandros as much as we do!

The property, as a traditional Cycladic house, has 2 entrances/exits and thus has 2 neighborhoods in the center of Chora. Therefore, you have direct access to shops, a pharmacy, cafes & restaurants, and picturesque locations such as the traditional "Kastro" of Chora (2 minutes' walk from the house) and the monastery on the mountain (Church of Panagia). Vehicles are not allowed in the center of Chora. However, within 4-5 minutes, you will find open, free municipal parking, as well as the bus or taxi station.
