I am the architect (now retired). I have been living in Zagreb, Croatia, and my house in Hvar is a legacy from my late wife's grandparents. So I used to spend my summer vacations in Hvar since mariage till today. The social person I am, have a lot of friends with whom I hang out in many places, in our homes or on trips. So far I travel around Europe, USA and Canada a little, and a little bit of Africa. But I like to travel through various places of the Mediterranean We live on the second floor of the same building and will be happy to help you to feel comfortable in Jelsa. Occasionally is possible to use the bigger hosts' terace on the 2nd floor, with barbecue; Inquire.
The house is located in the pedestrian zone of the city center. The main square, the sea front with numerous catering facilities and shops, as well as all other cultural and touristic sites are available for a few minutes walk through the narrow streets between traditional buildings and gardens (distance 50 to 100 m). The apartment is close to the church, also to the few local traditional restaurants, the main square at the harbour sea line, and a small central square where different performances happened during the summer time Beautiful sandy or rocky beaches are in the vicinity of Jelsa, and the closest, gravel one, is only 150m from the house. Parking is located about 50m, but for unloading / loading stuff you can stop the vehicle about 15m close to the house.
