The place Luka is dominated by the promenade that dates back to the 14th century. The location of the place is in a bay called Zlatna vala, which in addition to the crystal clear sea and tranquillity of nature provides a safe harbour for all boaters. Above the town looms the largest hill of Dugi otok, called Vela straža, of some 338 m of height, while in the nearby Boka bay one can find a mud that has a completely natural, relaxing effect. Because of a developed fishing activity, Luka has a traditional gastronomic offer. Accommodations can be found in private homes and at Hotel Luka, where also day trips to the National park Kornati and Nature Park Telašćica are organized.
