Opric is a small hamlet above Ika, more like a quiet residential area. It is in the suburbs of Opatija between Lovran and Icici. Close to beaches only 550 meters air line (as the crow flies). The house is settled on slopes of Ucka mountain and it is 90 meters above the sea level. Important information for those fond of walking to the beach, so yes it is only about 600 meters to the center of Ika on foot but about 318 steps going down and back up the hill! Car is more than advisable. It is quiet, residential area, safe and peaceful place, surrounded by Mediterranean plants and beautiful sea view. Only tw0 kilometers away is Lovran, a unique medieval town build on the sea level and not as a fortress on the hill so you can evidence the old town in its medieval look. Along the 12 km promenade from Lovran to Volosko you can enjoy the walk, inhale the sea salted air , bath along the way or gaze upon beautiful villas build on the sea front over 100 years ago when this was oasis for rich, noble European aristocracy during the Habsbourg era. The house is situated close ( ok not exactly a walking distance but for those who like walking or biking close) to the Nature park Učka that offers great bike trails, good free climbing places like Vela Draga, good hiking paths, hosts some endemic botanical species. Another very important thing is that this region is famous for it's cuisine and excellent restaurants. Cuisine is Mediterranean but due to our history it is also a proud mixture of Croatian, Austrian, Hungarian, Ottoman and Italian heritage.
