This is a 400 years old property with a lots of character, located in a small fishing village of Bratus. The nearest towns are Baska Voda and Makarska. The village benefits from a small shop, beach bar, restaurant and a cafe. Outside the property is an old olive mill which is under Unesco protection and whilst sipping a cold drink on a sunny veranda you can admire its beauty in its original form . The house is 20m distance from the sea but is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main road. It is fully equipped with all the essentials. Beach towels are not included.
I am originally from Croatia but live in London for the last 25 yrs. This is my family's holiday home that my father bought in the 70s when it was a very old abandoned barn. I have spent every summer there since the age of 5 yrs. I love this place as it gives me the opportunity to relax and recharge my batteries before returning to London. Bratus is magical and I love it :)
The house is a part of an old palace that is now divided into smaller properties. The neighbours are very friendly and if you ever need an advice about the local area, they are happy to help. There is a great restaurant "Konoba Bratus" very near the house where you can enjoy some of the local delicacies whilst sitting on the veranda by the sea. Beach bar "Sahara" has great cocktails, reasonably priced. You can lounge in their deck chair by the sea and enjoy breathtaking sunsets, before heading off for a bit to eat in "Konoba Bratus". Everything is 2 minutes walk and it makes your stay in Bratus a truly relaxing holiday.
