At the foot of the imposing Biokovo, within reach of crystal clear bays, lies the Igrane village. When you approach it from Makarska, the first thing you will see is a truly incredible bell tower, which will seem to pierce the horizon with its sharp top. At the foot of the white bell tower are traditional stone houses on steep slopes that descend all the way to clean beaches. Nearby is the Zalina Tower, a remnant of the Kandy War that reminds us of the history and battles with the Turks. The legend that connects Lucius Artorius Castus (better known as King Arthur) and Igrane is also interesting. Legend has it that he put his sword in a place he named after his mother (Igrane).
