Curious about life and history of wonderful Dalmatia? Live like a local and enjoy your stay in our renovated stone house Kala situated in Kaštel Sućurac only a few steps away from the beach. The house was built in 16th century and it is comfortably blending modern conveniences with historic charm. Experience a romantic getaway, wake up with the song of birds, smell of Dalmatian cousine and enjoy long walks by the shore. We hope Kala can make your stay inspiring and relaxing! The house has a ground floor (kitchen with all the amenities, dining room and laundry machine), first floor (living room with TV and AC) and second floor (bedroom and bathroom with AC). There is a shared barbecue outside of the house and a place to drink your morning coffee or have a private dinner. All the windows and the main door allow you to look outside but no one can see you inside so privacy is guaranteed night and day. Wi-fi is available in all the rooms. The floors are connected with wooden stairs. All the details in the house are authentic from the different times in the past reflecting Dalmatian way of life. The house was renovated for 12 years and is considered to be a cultural heritage.
I’m a visual artist working from early age. I’m passionate about fine art, contemporary art, interior design as well as toy design. I‘m educated well about history of Dalmatia offering to you a tour guidence, instructions or just a friendly tips, as well for any other tourist activity that might be fun, romantic or both. Me and my husbad are very hospitable and we reccommend our Stone house Kala as your peaceful hideout.
Kaštela are seven villages in one city. Every village got their name by a castle from which village was born. About twenty castles were made by the beggining 15th century in order to protect nerby cities Split and Trogir (on the list UNESCO world heritage) from invading Turks. This was Europe’s last defense. Most of these building are still there keeping in heritage wonderful romanic-gotic architecture. Just few steps away from the house this is available for site seeing. Most impresive is fortess made on a cliff called Klis. It was a set for HBO series Game of thrones, as well as Diocletianus palace (available various museums at complex of palace) Only few kilometers from house are ancient ruins of roman city Salona On the same distance there is a bus stop, for aproximately one euro you can visit Split or Trogir.
