The House The house can accommodate up to 10 guests and has 4 double bedrooms and 1 bunk bed – plenty of space for families or groups. Every room is air-conditioned and decorated with care, so you'll feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. Outdoor Space Outside, you'll find a large terrace where you can relax, eat, and enjoy the peace and quiet. Fire up the BBQ for a proper outdoor dinner, or simply sit back and take in the greenery. The Neighbourhood La Casa di Papa sits in the northern part of Istria, surrounded by the unspoiled nature and hilltop villages the region is known for. It's a place with a relaxed pace of life that's hard to find anywhere else. Hilltop Villages & Local Culture Some of Istria's most charming towns are just a short drive away. The medieval hilltop villages of Motovun and Grožnjan are must-sees, and there are plenty of other beautiful towns in the area worth exploring at your own pace. While you're in Buzet itself, don't miss a walk through the old town, a visit to the Aura Distillery, and dinner at one of the many excellent local restaurants. For something a little different, the nearby Kastel Petrapilosa is a hidden gem well worth the short detour. Nature, Hiking & Climbing If you love the outdoors, you'll be spoiled for choice. Buzet's famous Seven Waterfalls trail is right on your doorstep, and the surrounding hills are full of well-marked walking paths for all levels. For those who like a challenge, the peaks of Žbevnica, Učka, and Čićarija are all within reach and offer stunning views. The area also has a growing reputation among climbers – with good weather in spring and autumn especially, there are many excellent spots nearby. The Coast The Adriatic coast is easily reachable for a day trip. The seaside towns of Poreč, Novigrad, Umag, and Rovinj are all within comfortable driving distance, so you can enjoy peaceful countryside in the evenings and the sea during the day. Italy & Slovenia Slovenia is just 5 to 10 minutes away by car, and Italy is also within easy reach, making La Casa di Papa an ideal base if you're planning to explore beyond Croatia as well. Everyday Convenience For day-to-day needs, a large shopping centre – including a Lidl – is just 3 to 5 minutes away by car. A small but welcome detail, especially for guests travelling from abroad.
