Omišalj (next to the town of Krk) is the oldest living place on the island and its location on a cliff 85 meters above the sea gives it a special charm. The Roman name Fulfinum and the archaeological park of Mirine nearby promise that this place, in addition to its natural beauty, also abounds in cultural and historical monuments. Take a walk to the Sepen bay and explore the archaeological remains of the large early Christian basilica, or climb the hill above the Omišalj bay where there are traces of the Fortičine fortress. Also, you won't go wrong if you visit the nearby Biserujka cave.
