We are the Sinković family, who have lived in harmony with nature for more than 350 years. Our story began in 1656, when our ancestors recognized the beauty and richness of this land and chose to settle here. Today, Libero, Dora, Sergej, and Patrik represent the latest generation of our family, continuing the tradition by producing wine, spirits, vinegar, and olive oil, as well as running a restaurant and apartments. Visit us and discover our story, our heritage, and the true spirit of Istria.

Property info

San Mauro combines authentic Istrian hospitality, a restaurant and apartments, and breathtaking views of the countryside and the sea. Everything served in our restaurant is homemade and produced on our own property — from traditional Istrian cuisine, including homemade prosciutto, cheese, pasta, and a selection of main dishes featuring the authentic Istrian ox, boškarin. We also offer local wines such as Merlot, Teran, and Malvazija, as well as olive oil, vinegar, and homemade spirits. Guests can also purchase our wine, olive oil, vinegar, and spirits to take home with them.

San Mauro Restaurant & Apartments are located in a charming, authentic, and peaceful village, surrounded by beautiful views in every direction — you can even see the sea. It is a perfect place for cycling, walking, and exploring less touristy and less crowded hidden gems of the area. At our property, you will also meet our two friendly pigs, who have become our beloved mascots and are always happy to greet our guests.
