In the tiny peninsula between the charming historic towns of Poreč and Vrsar, holiday house TaDe is settled in a Mediterranean stone-garden with Mediterranean fruit-trees. The nearest beach is 400 meters away. All apartments are provided free Wireless connection and common barbecue facilities as well as the small grass playground for children. The kitchen is fully equipped and TV and a private bathroom with bath are featured. Plenty of sports facilities (for instance, tennis, riding, mountain-biking, ...) and rental services (motorboat, sailing boats, ...) are available in close vicinity. Local companies offer the gaudy excursions to Lim fjord-like bay, medieval Rovinj or roman Poreč, as well as to Brijuni National Park. Pula Airport is about 50 km and bus station is 5 km away.
I am a physicist, doing my doctorate studies and working at Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen, Germany and at Ruđer Bošković Institute in Zagreb, Croatia. During the summer I'm renting apartment of mine and my brother. I like sea and mountains and all the activities connected to them, as well as the Latin and Ancient Greek language.
Funtana is old village at the coast, some 7 km from the old Roman Poreč city. Same as the little river, after the source of which the village is named, the people in the village impersonate an amusing junction of the peasant-like and fisherman-like way of living, both in beautiful mediterranen surroundings of Istrian countryside and coast, which in modern time they are able to present to their visitors. In addition to wonderful nature, domestic Croatian people with communicative spirit are always wishing to help you and to honestly give you the best from them - whatever it is, food, service, wine, or just the company :)
