Milna – where the legend still lives... According to a legend; one of the sons of English royal family Tudor that ruled in 16th century, sailed across world seas. Destiny was such that right in front of Milna beaches he had a minor ship wreck. Forced to stop and mend the ship for further journey, he saw a beautiful girl who came down to the beach from the nearby village to wash the clothes in the sea. It was love at first sight. The prince decided to stay in her country and he asked her to marry him. So, once again, love had conquered geographic, language, even class barriers.Truth or not, the fact is that today more than 90% of inhabitants’ last name is Tudor :) The word „Milna“ means "beautiful". The beauty of the nature, secluded bays under the pine trees, peace, harmony and at the same time vicinity of the cosmopolite Hvar (only 4 km away – cca 7. min car ride) make Milna your truly ideal vacation place. Milna offers a few restaurants where you can enjoy delicious home-made gastronomic specialties. Peace and harmony of charming Mediterranean in vicinity of cosmopolite Hvar – perfect choice for your dream vacation!
