My husband Peter and I built Villa Palme in 2004 and are very happy and dedicated to serve our guests. When my guests ask me where they can find me, I tell them I am here 25hours of the day, and of course I get a little laugh. But seriously, I am at the premises all the time, so come to me, I love to talk to my guests. Often guests ask me, but you are not from here (I have a little accent), and I tell them, "yes, I am from Croatia, I am a Croatian American with a German accent. This way everything is explained. (it is very convenient to speak all 3 languages). My husband loves to talk about wine, just ask him and he will offer you a glass of wine and he will tell you all about Croatian wine - Malvazia and Teran from Istria, then Dalmatian wines and Slavonian wines etc., or he will take you on a wine tour on the wine streets in Istria. Villa Palme is a family business so you will see our son Kristijan with his family (we have 2 little twin girls who are our pride and joy) who live with us, and our daughter Kristina and her husband who come and visit us from far away at least once a year (which is not enough for me)

Villa Palme is a holiday delight, very family friendly where parents can enjoy a quiet time out while the children play on the children's playground, or take a dip in the large swimming pool. Located in the quiet center of Opatija, we are only 300m from the city center with its restaurants, boutiques and grocery stores and 350m from the Lungo Mare promenade and the sea. Each apartment at Villa Palme has its own view of the Kvarner Bay with its islands of Krk and Cres. The city of Rijeka provides a stunning backdrop to Kvarner Bay and especially stunning sight to see during the evening hours, enjoying a glass of wine on the terrace or balcony of each apartment
