The villa sits in the heart of Bol, the oldest settlement on Brač and one of the most sought-after spots on the Dalmatian coast. Everything is on foot. Stroll the shaded seafront promenade to Zlatni Rat, the famous Golden Horn beach whose shape shifts with the wind and currents, or reach it by tourist train or taxi boat in minutes. The compact Old Town is full of stone streets, waterfront konobas, and cafes. A short walk along the coast brings you to the Dominican Monastery on the Glavica peninsula, founded in 1475, with a small museum and quiet sea views. For active guests, the hike up Vidova Gora, the highest peak on the Adriatic islands at 780 meters, starts right above town and rewards you with views over Zlatni Rat to Hvar. Brač is also wine country, so set aside an afternoon to taste the local Plavac Mali red at a nearby winery. Windsurfing and kitesurfing are excellent thanks to the reliable afternoon maestral wind, and the port makes day trips to Split or Hvar easy. Bol is lively enough for great food and sunsets, calm enough to feel like a true island escape.
