Villa is in the heart of the city center, northwest of Diocletian's Palace and on the southern slope of Marjan Hill. It is in the Varos, one of the oldest suburbs of the town. Walking distance to everything; beaches, nightlife, town exploring, recreation, sightseeing and stunning places where you will definitely say: “lemme take a selfie!”

Villa Urbi et Orbi & Villa Urbi et Orbi 2 is acctually one Villa, devided between two sisters, Ina and Gabriela, which is the inheritance of their parents. Villa has 5 apartments. Both sisters are living in the Norway at the moment. Owned by their two brothers, Luka and Edi, is famous; Villa Matejuska, Konoba Matejuska (where we serve breakfast, adress: Tomica Stine 3) and Villa fra Domenico.

Citizens of Veli Varoš stress their ancientness climbing the Marjan hill where you can catch all the details while looking over the rooftops from the Prva Vidilica (First Peak). Among the best known architectural monuments the most famous is the Church of St. Mikula from the 11th century. Churches that adorn Veli Varoš, church of Our Lady of Soca, the Holy Cross and St. Frances. Veli Varoš has been, until recently, the symbol of fishermen from Split who lived poorly of their daily sardines (Splitski akvarel, musical by Ivo Tijardović), while today real-estate prices in this part of the city are most expensive. Many famous opera singers came from Veli Varos, like Noa Matosic, Ante Marusic and Ratomir Kliskic, as well as Miljenko Smoje, the famous journalist and publicist. The Franciscan Monastery and Church of St Frances (sv. Frane) near the seaside is notable for the tombs of famous Split residents such as the writer Marko Marulic, the composer Ivan Lukacic, and the politician Dr. Ante Trumbic whose sarcophagus was made by the famous Croatian sculptor Ivan Mestrovic.
