My place is a beautifully renovated, stylish apartment in the heart of Pécs. Located on the 1st floor of a heritage building at the quiet end of the main walking street of Pecs. Austere interior furnished with all necessities, but nothing more; we provide the frame, you bring your story. Sitting on the window pane of the living room you can view the passersby on Kiraly street, while from the bedroom enjoy the quiet of the inner yard of the house. The apartment is ideal for couples but can host up top 4 guests. Welcome!
I am originally from Pécs and this was my first own apartment where I started my independent grown-up life. I dearly love it and wanted to keep it even if I moved away many years ago. It is a reference point in my life where I want to return time to time, but I also wanted to share it with others when I am abroad. Live a little bit like a real "tüke" = originally from Pécs, when you stay there! :) I think you will enjoy the chill of living in the historic center of Pécs in the middle of all what happens in town, while shielded from it's buzz and noise.
Kiraly street is the main, historical pedestrian street in downtown, accessible by car only at the very Eastern end, where my apartment is located. It is a 5 minute walk along restaurants, cafes, little boutiques and shops, the National Theatre and art galleries to the Szechenyi square, the very heart of the city at the West-end of the street. At the East-end of the street there is a quiet square called Buza (Wheat) square hosting restaurants and on the weekends an artisan's market. The recently renovated Zsolnay Cultural Quarter is 10 minutes walking distance with the best exhibitions, restaurant, playgrounds, puppet theatre, gift shops in town. The Unesco World Heritage sites with the basilica, the bishops' gardens, old town walls, Roman tombs and museums are also must see attractions and are only about 1 km away.
