We warmly welcome our guests to Mokka Apartment in Szeged, the City of Sunshine. When designing our accommodation, our aim was to create a comfortable, clean, friendly and affordable environment for those visiting the city for a few days or even for a longer stay. The atmosphere of the apartment is made unique by the Mokka visual style and the small handmade decorations. It is important to us that our guests receive not just accommodation, but a homely, carefully designed place where they can relax, recharge, or comfortably prepare for their business programmes. The rooms are practical and comfortable, and the facilities of the accommodation have been designed to provide suitable comfort for both shorter and longer stays.
Mokka Apartment is run as a family business. We, Mónika and Róbert, are the owners and hosts. For us, hospitality is not only a service, but also personal attention and care. At the end of 2017, we completely renovated the property with the aim of creating a modern, comfortable and welcoming accommodation in Szeged. As entrepreneurs, we have been working with people for many years, so we know how important reliability, cleanliness, flexibility and clear communication are. Whenever possible, we personally welcome our guests, show them around the accommodation, provide the most important information, and then ensure they can enjoy a peaceful and undisturbed stay.
Mokka Apartment is located on the edge of Szeged city centre, near Mars Square, making it an ideal choice for those looking for quieter accommodation that is still easily accessible. Széchenyi Square is approximately 1 km away, about a 15-minute walk. The city’s main attractions are easy to reach: the New Synagogue is about 1 km away, Dóm Square and the venue of the Szeged Open-Air Festival are approximately 1.5–2 km away, while the Szeged National Theatre is around 1.5 km from the accommodation. Szeged’s well-known restaurants, cafés, confectioneries and charming terraces can also be reached with a short walk or a few-minute drive. The area is also an excellent starting point for Szeged’s popular events. The main downtown venues of the Szeged Wine Festival — such as Széchenyi Square, Klauzál Square, Dugonics Square and Dóm Square — are all within approximately 1–2 km. The venue of the Deja Vu Festival and SZIN, the Újszeged Partfürdő, is about 2.5–3 km from the accommodation. Mokka Apartment is also a good choice for family programmes: the Szeged Zoo is approximately 2 km away, while Napfényfürdő Aquapolis is about 2–2.5 km away. Both are easily accessible by car or public transport. For this reason, the area is a suitable choice for sightseeing, business trips, festivals, family relaxation, or even a longer stay in Szeged.
